Staying at Hotel Restaurant Zum Schlossberg was a delightful surprise during my recent trip to Wadern. Nestled in the serene Büschfeld district, this family-run gem exudes warmth and hospitality-you really can feel the personal touch that makes you feel at home. My spacious room was comfortable and clean, complete with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom for a relaxing retreat after a day on the road. The highlight for me was undoubtedly the on-site restaurant, boasting a fantastic selection of game meat and fish dishes that truly reflect the region's culinary heritage. We were treated to a complimentary welcome drink, which paired beautifully with the tasty stuffed wild pig we savored-definitely a must-try. While I understand there could be concerns about noise from the nearby road, I found the tranquility more than balanced out by the picturesque surroundings and the peaceful garden area. As an eco-conscious traveler with a background in marine conservation, I genuinely appreciated their commitment to sustainability and local culture. This hotel is an ideal base for exploring the stunning Saarland countryside, perfect for hiking and cycling.
